Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) is a System, a Proactive/Preventative school wide approach that changes the culture school-wide. PBIS requires 100% buy-in from ALL school employee including Administrators, teachers, support staff, certified faculty, and classified faculty. It is a 3-Tier system that supports Response to Intervention, Academia, College/Career Readiness and the ASCA National Model for School Counselors
  • PBIS is a System– An on-going Process for systemic problem solving, critical thinking, planning, monitoring, evaluating and adjusting.

  • PBIS is a recognized evidenced-based process that has received the highest level of recognition from the US Department of Education to prevent bullying, reduce negative behaviors & decrease violence.

  • PBIS is a proactive, school-wide reward/discipline system that creates environments in which:

    • Learning & teaching are valued

    • Negative, aggressive & unsafe behaviors are discouraged

    • Respect, responsibility, cooperation traits are highly valued – which are taught & expected by ALL (soft skills)

    • Individual differences are valued & honored

    • Teaching & learning are maximized

Credits

 1 CEU offered --15 hours—2-4 hours follow-up via skype, face-time for PBIS in place or in process at schools.

 
Workshop Objectives
  • Participants will learn a step-by-step implementation process that is centered around individual school data & needs 
  • Guaranteed to make the PBIS relevant and do-able for accountability to Administrators, School Board Members and all stakeholders, changing the culture of the school, based on data, monitored, & adjusted regularly. 
  • All participants will leave with a Hands-On PBIS Livebinder, complete with tools to implement PBIS  in their school
Pricing: District & individual rates—(PD credit &/or CEU’s available through NNU)  
  • $175.00 individual 

  • $1500.00– up to 12 participants- Districts  

  • $2500.00 – 13-25 counselors (more than 1 facilitator required)-- Districts 

  • $3500.00 – 26-35 participants (more than 1 facilitator required)—Districts 

  • Travel expenses may incur
